By Ved RK, founder of Shubh Invitation · · 4 min read
A baby's naming ceremony is the first time the whole family gathers for the new arrival, and every region has its own name and day for it. Here are 24 invitation messages to copy: traditional wording from the parents and grandparents, sweet lines from the baby, regional wording for barse, barasala and noolukettu, Hindi messages and short WhatsApp texts.
In short
A naming ceremony invitation asks family to bless the baby and hear the name for the first time. Give the parents' names, the ceremony as your family calls it, such as namkaran, barse or barasala, and the date, muhurat and place. Many families keep the name a surprise until the ceremony, so leave it out of the invitation.
