Vastu shanti havan begins at 7 am. Family and close friends are welcome from the start; other guests may join for the purnahuti at 10 am and lunch afterwards.
Muhurat
Griha pravesh in the shubh muhurat at 6.15 am, with kalash sthapana and the boiling of milk. Puja and darshan open to all guests from 9 am.
Evening
Puja in the morning with family; housewarming dinner for friends at 7.30 pm.

For a flat, the society name, tower, floor and parking matter more than for a house. Put them in the invitation so guests don't stand at the gate calling you.

When to send a griha pravesh invitation
- Two to three weeks before for relatives who need to travel, and for a large puja with lunch.
- One week before is enough for neighbours, colleagues and friends in the same city.
- A day before, send a short reminder with the map and the puja time.
- If the muhurat is early in the morning, tell guests clearly when they should arrive, and that close family will be there for the muhurat itself.
- After the puja, send a thank-you message, with photos if you have them.
