Tips for a Navratri invitation
- Give a start time and, if you can, an end time. Garba nights can run late, and parents of small children like to know.
- Add a dress code: chaniya choli and kediyu, or a colour of the day if you follow one.
- Say whether dandiya sticks will be provided, or if guests should bring their own.
- Mention food: a full dinner, snacks or just prasad after aarti.
- For a multi-night event, give each night its own invitation event so guests can say which nights they are coming.
- Customs vary by region and family, from Gujarati garba to North Indian Mata ki chowki and kanya pujan, so use the words your family uses.
Making a Navratri invitation on Shubh
Pick a painted design from the Navratri invitations, add your message and send it on WhatsApp. Guests open it in their phone's browser, with no app or sign-in.
- One event, such as a garba night, is free to make and share; free invitations carry a small "Made with Shubh" mark.
- Put aarti, garba and kanya pujan on one invitation: every package, free included, covers every event, each with its own time, venue and dress code. See pricing.
- Guests reply per event with how many adults and children are coming.
- You can add a Gujarati tradition and regional music, or write the card in Gujarati and English side by side.
- The Celebration and Grand packages also make a video of the invitation for WhatsApp Status and Instagram Reels.
